Hi everybody, still getting used to this whole blogging thing so bear with me. Last week was very eventful week with lots of endurance hours including multiple interval sessions, a time trial and an attempt at a 100 mile bike ride. The week started off frustrating when I woke up one morning to see my bike had been stolen off my patio during the night. I'm pretty bummed that I don't have my trusty steed anymore but I am hoping for the best in getting it back.

On Friday we had our first time trial of the year up to the top of Fish Creek Falls road. I felt good going into the time trial and bested my top time from last year by 20 seconds. I know I most likely wasn't at my optimum race level due to the high volume of intensity work earlier in the week, but it felt good to know that I am improving my cross country skiing.

On Saturday the team jumped in the the morning and then Grant Andrews, Spencer Knickerbocker, Ben Berend and myself headed out for a century ride. Although my bike had been stolen earlier in the week I was fortunate enough to have a friend lend me a bike for the week. The four of us went up and over Rabbit Ears and planned for a lunch stop in Kremmling before heading up Gore Pass. As I was riding through Kremmling a big gust of side wind knocked me down. I walked away with a sprained wrist and a bunch of road rash, but my day of riding was over. Luckily our coach was running a support car with us and I got a ride back with him.

This week we are in Park City for a jumping camp during a week of low endurance training. This is the time of year where we need to get in a lot of jumps and make our average jumps better. In fact most of our training jumps for the year are taken in the summer. I'm always excited to jump in Park City and take advantage of their awesome facilities so I am really looking forward to this week.
Stay tuned for pictures of the week and a recap the the jumping camp.
